It never rains but it pours… tv shows, and other fun stuff
TV shows
its been quite a week, Wasted, the talk show project i'm doing with Katy Olson gained a huge amount of momentum now that it's cought the eye of a productions company, Outings, a travel show concept that im working on is right up there with it, now i have to finish up the pitch for two series at once. Fortunately with Wasted being picked up by an established Productions company, i only have to worry about doing the heavy lifting with Outings. Tomorrow i have a meeting with Shane and Gall, maybe PJ, about the travel show, the website for Outings should be up at the end of the month along with the first round of promotion, social networking, blah blah blah. I would like to see if i can piggyback Outings with Wasted on the same productions company, that would make my life sooo much easer, plus It would simplify any schedule conflicts between the two projects.
On the same note, I've started putting together the episodes for the first season of Outings, one of the most important episodes is the one where we will travel to the middle east, I've received a lot of help on these (thanks Carol Hanning!) right now my plans are Jordan, Egypt, and a third undecided location.
D's party
also whent to D's birthday party last week, drank, had fun, all that good stuff.
Upcomeing Shows
Guacapalooza is coming up at Standup ny, you should come, drink, have fun, all that good stuff. free guacamole for everyone!
Technology
on tech front, Sprint activated 4G service in where i live, and its blazeing fast, i have decided that instead of havening home internet, im just going to use my overdrive for home and on the road. Sprint really outdid itself in the past year bringing awesome products and services online, well done! No longer am embarrasse to say im a Sprint uesr. I highly suggest dropping your home internet and getting an overdrive.Sprint's overdrive mobile hotspot
for those of you who don't have Sprint Cellphone Service there are a couple of other providers who also contract with sprint to carry this device, one of them is called Clearwire ( www.clear.com ) Clearwire is the actual company that created the Wimax network that Sprint is using, they purchased the company about a year and a half ago, so both companies sell the same device with the same services.
Clearwire's Clear Spot branded device
Also, for those who have Time warner cable, they are selling a mobile roadrunner service that uses sprint's service to connect, once again they have the same device, and you can take it with you where ever you go, hopefully, they provice it as an alternitve to home internet, and don't make it an add on service only.
time Warner cable's Intelligo branded device.
All three are branded versions of Sierra wireless' CDMA 3G/Wimax 4G Wifi hotspot. Sprint brands it as using Sprints 3G/4G, while the other two brand it as Wimax, with the ability to use 3G service when 4G is not available, but all there doing it repackageing the same service, I believe Comcast is going to do the same thing.
STAR Wars Underwear
Last but not least I now am the proud owner of the entire Star Wars underwear Series from H&M. such a geek.

My bet is on sprint to carry the 4G iphone
1) Verizon has been heavily investing in the Google Phone, as well as many other options it now carries. it would seem odd to have so many phones and yet apple would tack another one on.
2) Sprint is rolling out the first 4G network as we speak, which is so fast it will be a great opportunity to really show off what the iphone can do. which leads to the next poing
3) this is IMPORTANT, there has been open excitement within apple about includeing the Morristown chip set in the next iphone, Microsoft's Morristown Chipset includes support for 4G networks using the WiMAX protocol, a protocol that Verizon will not persue, but Sprint is rolling out as we speak.
all this said what i think is going to happen is a lot of hype will be put on Verizon, nearing the announcement, when they announce that the new carrier will be Sprint, Sprint's Stock will Skyrocket.
Granted there is no guarantee that a new carrier will be announced in a couple of days, supposedly it will just be to announce a new software version, but apple can be tricky, and full of suprises. silly steve jobs.
my money is on Sprint.

track bikes

Going shopping for a new track bike, the Sub 30 that I have been riding is just to heavy, im tired of dragging it up the steps, and also I can go faster in a track bike. I always liked the style of the Bianchi Pista, but unfortunately it won’t accept a freewheel, at least not the 2006 model I’m looking at. (its not used I just has been at Champion bikes for years) At Metro Bikes they have a Fuji Track Classic, as well as the standard Fuji track bike in stock, and while kinda plain compared to the Pista, it does accept a free wheel, and its fifty bucks cheaper for a current year model bike.
travel show pilot
Good news on the “Out and About (working title)” front, I’m working with Roddy to plan filming for a pilot for the travel show project in conjunction with the BBC this fall, hopefully everything falls into place quickly, if we don’t get it done by early fall im afraid that it will be delayed until the spring at the earliest.
Also I’m hoping to include a segment with my friend Duncan in Scotland who plays rugby, perhaps get a segment with us playing rugby who knows.
